I am not familiar enough with the law to know whether just because Apple's iPhone uses cellular technology and Cisco's iPhone uses VoIP that Apple can still use the name or not. But, it is not hard to see why Cisco would want to strike a deal with Apple to enable Apple's device to have interoperability with their network. The new iPhone while priced at about $500 is leaps and bounds ahead of any other company in the field. It will be interesting to see how this all works out, but it appears that Cisco has the better dealt hand to play. I could turn out to be a blessing in disguise for Apple as Cisco is the largest Network Company worldwide. But I doubt so because of that very point. The new iPhone from Apple would already be on networks from Cingular and Cisco's products are on everybody's network to begin with. So Apple is already compatible with cellular technology like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. I don't think they would have much to gain from a VoIP standpoint. I guess interoperability between the two, wireless and VoIP, would be nice but I am sure that Apple does not want to give Cisco any part of the pie to do it.

To check out the new iPhone from Apple visit:
http://www.apple.com/iphone

Gamecock fans!! If they neglect training then they are not giving their employers the newest information which will allow other companies the opportunity to use training as a corporate tool in order to stay ahead of the other competition.

Chapter 1
Needs assessment is a way of determining the gap that exists within an organization of where htey are and where they want to be. Front-end analysis is techniques that can be used to help bridge the gap by determining what solutions are needed. Some processes that could be used for analysis are:

finding the issues within the business

writing objectives to solve the issues

cost analysis for feasibility issues

technology analysis which determines the infrastructure and technology that is being used

media analysis which gives infomation on the most appropriate delivery systems

vendor analysis which are companies that claim to have the total solution to your needs

Chapter 2

I would say that collecting data in person and using questionnaires both on paper and through email would be valuable to a me as an instructional designer because they have high yeild rates and are highly adaptable( can be designed to fit). Also if done by email then the data can be gathered into a database for easy collaboration of results.
